OEM Right Handlebar Controls
Like the left handlebar controls, I originally planned to create custom right handlebar controls for my RC51 ECU build. That’s still the goal, but to get the motorcycle running quickly, I modified the OEM switches to meet my immediate needs. Below is an overview of the right-hand handlebar controls.
As always, if you need further clarification or have any questions, reach out.
Wiring
Using the stock wiring, I sealed off the headlight power lead connected to the starter switch. Most of the wiring remained OEM, but I removed the leads for the front brake light switch since the Ducati switches connect directly to the switch, eliminating the need for flag terminals. All switches and buttons maintain the same logic as the OEM setup.
It’s important to keep the brake switch leads free from the right handlebar controls so each component can be removed independently.
Ducati Brake Switch
Since I’m using all LED lights, the current draw for my brake circuit is low. If you’re using OEM incandescent lights, verify that the Ducati leads are the proper gauge to handle the circuit’s current.
If using OEM incandescent lights, ensure the Ducati brake switch leads are appropriately gauged for the higher current draw to avoid potential issues.

Right Handlebar Controls Images
Explore this collection of images showcasing the modified OEM right handlebar controls. NOTE: these images show my first released version of these controls. In this updated version, I combined the front brake leads into the Main Harness connector. All wiring (except these connector ends) remains the same. I have updated all diagrams to reflect this change, but the images may still be version 1 release.
